Cabool could have been picked by Norman Rockwell to represent small-town America. Rockwell might have chosen schoolhouse hill to sit and sketch. Looking south he would see the yellow school buses as they crossed the Big Piney River bridge, Frisco railroad tracks and Main Street. Halfway up the hill the buses would stop beside First Baptist Church before crossing U.S. Route 60 and coming up to the school.
